Working principle
Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge and obtains energy, leaving the outer edge of the impeller at high speed into the cochlear pump shell. In the cochlear pump case, the liquid slows down due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel, and part of the kinetic energy is transformed into static pressure energy, and finally flows into the discharge pipe at a higher pressure, and is sent to the place where it is needed. When the liquid flows from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, a certain vacuum is formed in the center of the impeller. Because the pressure above the liquid level of the storage tank is greater than the pressure at the inlet of the pump, the liquid is continuously pressed into the impeller.

Among the flow parts of  sand dredge pump, the impeller, sheath, front and rear guard plates (wear-resistant lining plates) are made of strong wear-resistant alloy cast iron with a hardness of not less than 58HRC. High anti-abrasion properties.


Structure
The slurry pump delivers a mixture of solid particles containing dross and water. But the principle of slag slurry pump belongs to a centrifugal pump, in the iron and steel enterprises is mainly used for the converter dust removal water, blast furnace gas washing water, continuous casting turbid ring water, and steel rolling turbid ring water system of mud transport.


Pump head structure. The pump body uses a double pump shell (inside and outside double metal structure), the double pump shell structure is vertical open, and the outlet position can be installed at 45° intervals, rotating in 8 different positions. In order to effectively prevent shaft seal leakage, the combination of dynamic seal, packing seal, or mechanical seal is adopted. The impeller and the back guard plate are equipped with a labyrinth clearance seal, which greatly reduces the leakage of slurry to the packing box and effectively ensures the reliability of the seal. The impeller is equipped with a back blade to discharge the backflow slurry in time, so as to improve the volume ratio, reduce the backflow and erosion, and improve the lives of the flow parts. In order to facilitate maintenance and disassembly, the disassembly ring is provided to avoid the phenomenon of cutting the shaft caused by the disassembly.


Bracket structure. In order to extend the service life of the bearing, the hydraulic design and structural design were optimized. The radial force and axial force are reasonably distributed, and the bearing form, type, cooling and lubrication mode are correctly selected, so as to meet the requirements of low heat and high life of the bearing.


Shaft seal form. The shaft seal device serves as a seal between the pump body and the pump shaft. Can prevent air intrusion into the pump and a large amount of water leakage from the pump. Centrifugal slurry pump seal form is usually adopted, vice impeller and packing seal, packing seal is hydrodynamic seal, vice impeller head resistance generated by vice impeller impeller outlet liquid leakage, at the same time using impeller cover plate set back water sealing ring and packing to prevent the air into the, again with back packing place of leaf and water seal ring to reduce the pressure, have prevent impurities from entering the sealing effect.
