With high-performance wear resistance, the SME SH series slurry pumps withstand the most severe slurry applications.
The SH series slurry pumps are recommended for applications with coarse or fine particles from solids-laden waste to aggressive slurries of an abrasive nature.
SH series rugged design features, combined with casing, impeller, and liner in our proprietary A05 material, are recognized worldwide for superior abrasion resistance. In addition, several impeller options to fine-tune pump performance, and customized pumping needs are available. These options allow optimum wear life and sustained efficiency.
The impeller, either elastomer, stainless steel, or high-chrome material, is the main rotating component that normally has vanes to impart the centrifugal force to the liquid.
Split outer casing halves of cast contain the wear liners and provide high operation pressure capabilities. The casing shape is generally of semi-volute or concentric, efficiencies of which are less than that of the volute type.
Shaft and Bearing Assembly
A large diameter shaft with a short overhang minimizes deflection and vibration. The heavy-duty roller bearing is housed in a removable bearing cartridge.
A hardened, heavy-duty corrosion-resistant sleeve with O-ring seals at both ends protects the shaft. A split fit allows the sleeve removed or installed quickly.
